How to add or delete bookmarks

This is an step by step tutorial on how to add or delete websites in Safe Web app.

1.- First of all push the “Settings” button in the bottom menu (the one in the right).

3.- Once in the settings screen, the button “Add or delete bookmarks” will send you to the bookmarks edition screen.

4.- Now you are ready to add a new website by using the “+” button or delete an existing one by pushing the “-“ button next to the current whitelisted websites.

5.- If you select to add a new one, you will be prompted with the url to add. Optionally you can assign an alias to that website. Once accepted, it will appear in the list of bookmarks.

How to massively upload bookmarks

This is an step by step tutorial on how to massively upload websites to the Safe Web app.

1.- First of all push the “Settings” button in the bottom menu (the one in the right).

3.- Once in the settings screen, tap the button “Bulk uploading” and you will be send to the bulk upload screen.

4.- In the bulk upload screen we have two windows, the one in the left is for website urls and the one in the right is for alias for those websites (this is optional). The accepted formats to introduce the information are these:

  • One website/alias per line (as in the next example).
  • Or separated by comma “,”.
  • Or separated by semi-colon “;”.

5.- Once the “Execute” button is pressed, the information is loaded. Here we have the whitelist with the new websites.

6.- Finally, we need to push the “Done” button in order to leave the editing mode and Safe Web will be ready to be used.

How to disable Safari browser

To disable Safari web browser in your iOS device and leave Safe Web as the only browser follow these easy steps:

1.- From main screen choose “Settings” option.

2.- Click on “General”.

3.- Choose “Restrictions” and turn on this feature. If it is the first time you use it, you will be required to choose a 4-digit passcode. Don’t forget it or you won’t be able to enable Safari if needed.

4.- In the “Restrictions” menu you must turn off the slider for Safari app. From now on it won’t appear in the device’s dock.

5.- Now you can drag and drop Safe Web icon to the device dock and use it as your web browser.

If you want to enable Safari again follow the same instructions turning on the slider for Safari in step 4.
